Dale has gone to the Rainbow Bridge

My brofur, Dale - went on to the Rainbow Bridge, this morning. At first I thought I’d like it here around the house with just me here - but as the day has worn on, you know what - I miss him a lot. No longer do I have someone to wrestle with, to snarl at me when I walk too close to him when he doesn’t feel like playing and I still want to, and no longer is he here to fill me in on how or why things happen in the house and the yard outside.
Pellie has been so sad all day - I give her a nosey rub and then she starts to cry. She tell me she loves me so much - but her heart is hurting because she loved Dale too. She said he went to a better place on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge and he is out of pain and is like a young kitten again - having fun with the other kitties in heaven- but she is still sad because she misses him soooo much.
Sir Knight doesn’t do the crying thingy but I know he is sad too.
I guess it will take all of us awhile till we can remember and talk about Dale without hurting so bad.

Dear God, Take care of my brofur Dale - he just joined you there in heaven this morning. Tell him, We all miss him - even me. Amen

Oh my dearest friend Genghis Khat and Pellie and Sir Knight! My tiny heart breaks knowing you are all so sad over your beloved Dale going to the rainbow bridge...SOmeitmes it is too sad for words. But even silent tears speak volumes. Clowns can cry...many tears can flow and make the heart a bit glader for having known a fine feline such as Dale. I know it will be hard for a while being the only cat GK...but I am sure your brother will send along a fit replacement in due time. that is always how these things work...when one least expects it...then there it will be. the purrrrfect addition sent from him above.
Please know how much I care...sendning you soft hugs and sweet purrrrs Miss Peach

I don't care how long you spend with someone you love - it could be a hundred years - you will always long for just one more day. I've felt the earth rock beneath me and thought I would never recover from the loss but there is always another day and another animal that needs you and another kitten that needs a home.

I am so very sorry about your loss. It feels rotten, I know, but time will pass and hopefully you will feel comfortable enough to open your hearts and home once more to someone that needs a place to live.

Genghis, I am so sorry you lost your brother, Dale. I know how much you miss him. My brother, Grady went to the Rainbow Bridge a couple years ago, and I miss him still. But, maybe Grady and Dale have become friends there at the Bridge.

Many Purrs to you.

Oh we are so very sorry for all of you! It is so hard to lose your friend and companion - but I know the humans take it very very hard too.... To us it feels as if the universe all of the sudden is empty - there is a hole and it will never be filled again! But time will help.

Hi Penny,
Thanks for leaving the message for me on my blog on Storybook Homes. I'm miss reading your post and I have empathy for you loosing your precious kitty. I constantly battle fear of loosing my two little dogs. I've had many in my life but I have one (Sadie Mae) that arrived as a "miracle" in my life on a day that I had incrediable pain and loss in my life and here she came through the front door.
Growing up, I realized somewhere along the way that some children had very sad upbringings. I'm thankful I had these two unique parents. They gave me so much but we had very little money. Most of the wood, nails, paint and labor were donated to us to build the Fairyland. If you would ever like to just chat with me, my email is Matthew1039amen@yahoo.com
Covering you in prayer.
