Busy, Busy

Me checking out something new that made its way into the house recently.

Pellie and Sir Knight have been awful busy since they came back from their vacation thingy (what ever that was) - so I get to do a post all by myself. YEAH!!!!!!
Speaking of that Vacation my brofur Dale and I were not very happy to be taken to our friendly neighborhood Vets office for our vacation of shots, flea dips, grooming & nights with howling puppies. It was sooooooo good to get back home - we both immediately had to check out our favorite spots to make sure nothing was changed while we were away. Good thing all was as we left it.
Now that we have settled back into our routines - it is so much fun to sit and watch Pellie and Sir Knight running around washing windows, washing and ironing curtains and cleaning the house till it shines.
And if that isn’t keeping them busy enough they are busy creating all sorts of new stuff for the house and/or garden. Pellie keeps talking about a Mad Hatter and some sort of party (OH I love a good party) that we will be hosting and I guess we are also expecting some good friends to stop by our house for a short visit. (I wonder if they are coming for the Party?)
This kitty (from a calendar Pellie bought last year) sure has the right idea - I think maybe I'll give this a try at our party.

They have also went to a few auctions and brought some really strange stuff into the house and of course, as I am the official checker outer; I have been very busy checking things out.

When is a Gourd not a Gourd?

When it becomes a Fairy Art Doll, of course. The picture that Gail over at Mind Wide Open offered for Junes challenge - spoke to me of spreading wings and becoming a fairy. My first thoughts ran to a paper doll and then my muse seemed to kick into overdrive and pushed my thinking out of the paper box into the vegetable box. I rustled around among the remnants of my dried gourds I had used to make snowmen a few years back and found one that was the perfect size for the face of the doll. Sir Knight was then sent out to the garage to cuts high heeled
slippers for her and a star for her wand. I then set to work - printing the texty portion of the picture on to unbleached muslin which I then sewed together as a skirt with an elastic waist band. A felted sleeve from an old black sweater served as her blouse with cuff of sleeve turned down like a turtle neck (kind of beatnik style). When she was all finished she was given a bit of bling with fairy dust. and now she is already to start granting wishes.
I had been worried that I would not be able to get my project done, as we had been on vacation since the 28th of May; but like I said my muse kicked into overdrive and everything just seemed to go so well that I finished with time to spare. yoohooo!!!
Please check out all the wonderful entries over at MWO tomorrow the 8th of June when Gail has them up for voting.

Swap follow up.

Update . Sir Knight has finally returned from the Post Office - so I thought I would show you what I received from my swap partner. The picture above was how every thing was wrapped as I took it from the box. (so pretty)

This picture shows all the items which she sent.

Hello Everyone,

As a follow up to her Sweet Tweets Swap - Ele has asked us all to post pictures of what we sent our partners. A few items are missing - as I was finishing them up as I was packing them to make sure I got my box out on time.
She said posting pictures of what we received was optional and I guess that is a good thing - since my partner was very late in sending out her package to me. And having just returned from vacation today - the post man wont be delivering anything to me until tomorrow.

Hugs
Penny
