Roses in Bloom

"Won’t you come into my garden?  I would like my roses to see you."  -  Richard B. Sheridan

Good morning everyone,

The weather man assured us that today would be bright and sunny - yet as I sit here at my computer I hear the roll of thunder. Maybe it will roll on by.

"A profusion of pink roses bending ragged in the rain speaks to me of all gentleness and its enduring".
 - William Cullen Bryant

I showed you this little garden spot a few days ago - but since that picture was taken - the roses have started to bloom and I wanted to share them with you.  Beautiful aren't they?

"One of the most tragic things I know about human nature is that all of us tend to put off living.  We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon  - instead of enjoying the roses blooming right outside our window today.” - Dale Carnegie

We seem to be keeping ourselves very busy lately.   Sir Knight continues to work on our New Vegetable garden, every evening when he comes home from work.  Me;  I work on keeping all the rest of the landscaping free of weeds.  The front yard is easy - but the back  - oh the back - it is surely cursed.  I can hardly keep up with the Binder Weed much less get ahead of it.

Our Peonies have buds and will flower soon - hopefully I will be able to get a picture or two before the rain knocks all the petals of.  What usually happens is;  they bloom on the worse raining day we have and the petals fall off before we can even enjoy them.  And the rain is due tomorrow.again. Sigh!!!!

I hope you have a great day.

Hugs,
Penny

Lovely picture.

Ohhhhhh, You fight BINDER WEED!!!! On me oh my oh mercy! Here too. And it's out back, because it comes over (under the fence) from the next door lot. Oh sigh........

Fighting it is a very, very difficult project. I did it before. Don't know if I still have the energy to get out there all the time, and fight, fight, fight it, this year.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...

Good luck with your job of it!!!!!

Stands the church clock at ten to three?
And is there honey still for tea?"

Beautiful roses! Roses are my favorite! Enjoy!
Don't let the weeds get you down.
We had a wild spring thunder storm roll through the valley yesterday evening. Definitely not a regular occurance here in the Valley of the Sun, Arizona.
Have a great day.
Always, Queenie
