National Answer Your Cats Questions Day

Hello Everyone,
Yep today is National Answer Your Cats Questions Day soooooooooo ....
Let the Questions begin.

G: Why can't I eat at the table?
P: Because only people eat on the table.
G: Why?
P: Because.
G: Why?
P: Because I'm the mommy and I said so.
G: OH

G:What do you mean, get off the top of the china cabinet?
P: Umm Because I'm afraid you'll either fall or destroy some of my cherished pieces that are up there. Lets Face it you are not really all that graceful.
G: Da!, I'm a cat, I wont fall. - I need to be up high to snoopervise my domain. You are right about my knocking stuff off - but that's because you keep everything sooooooooo cluttered, so move some stuff to make me some room or give me a different high place to perch.

G: Ay, you got a problem with the snoopervisor?
P: Well most of the time I don't - but sometime, you are just so annoying when I'm trying really hard to get something accomplished and you are in my way and busy snoopervising.
G: You don't think you're annoying to me at times?
P: Well yes, I probably am, but...
G: No buts about it you are and I have learned to put up with you so you need to cut me some slack.

G: Speaking of Butts. What did you mean I didn't clean my butt?
P: Teehee! Well when you came at sat on my lap you got poop on my clean white shirt.
G: Sorry about that - did you have to tell the whole room - I was kind of embarrassed.
P: Sorry about that- I was just so surprised by it that i just said the first thing that came to mind.
I'll try to never do that again.

G: Why do you keep petting me when I tell you to stop and don't pet me when I want you to?
P: Well. I'm only human, I get confused trying to figure out what kind of mood your in. I thought you liked being petted?
G: I do like to be petted sometimes, and I know I'm pretty irresistible , but even I have my limits and when your petting me and I start swishing my tail from side to side that means stop and when I jump up on you lap and want to be petted I shouldn't have to put my head under your hand more than once - that means your suppose to pet and adore me now. Now do you get the picture ?
P: Well I'm glad you cleared that up. I'll try to be more observant in the future.

G: Just what's wrong with Tuna Breath?
P: Oh Nothing -
G: Well there must be something you say it often enough?
P: Well I'm not really a fish eating type person and sometimes your breath after eating your tuna is gross.
G: Well I don't call you garlic or onion breath - so be more mindful of my feelings.
P: Oh, Sorry. One more thing I will try to remember.

Is it just my imagination, or do I have more to remember than Genghis, as a result of this little conversation? Oh well, I'll do the best I can. But. I'm only human.

Have a good weekend everyone.

Hugs,
Penny

National Hugging Day

Hello Everyone,
Our weather out here in my neck of the Midwest has been cold and rainy - thus we have lots of ice covered streets - making travel dangerous. Lucky for me I am retired and don't have to head out on a day like this and Sir Knight only has to go a couple of blocks - to reach his work destination.
As you may have gathered from my title for this post today is National Hugging Day. As a Hug Therapist I just love celebrating this holiday, so I just had to share it with you!

A Hug Poem
Its wondrous what a Hug can do.
A hug can cheer you, when your blue.
A hug can say, "I love you"
or, "I hate to see you go."

A hug is "Welcome back again."
and "Great to see you. Where have you been?"
A hug can sooth a small childs pain,
and bring a rainbow after Rain.

A hug, there's just no doubt about it..
We scarcely could survive without it!
A hug delights and warms and charms,
It must be why God gave us arms.

Hugs are great for Fathers and Mothers,
Sweet for sisters, Swell for brothers;
And chances are your favorite Aunts
Love them more than potted plants.

Kittens crave them, Puppies love them;
Heads of State are not above them.
A Hug can break the language barrier,
And make travel so much merrier.

No need to fret about your store of "em;
The more you give there's more of 'em
So stretch those arms without delay
And give someone a hug today!!!

Just in case you need a coupon to convince that shy someone you know to give you a hug try this one.

Genghis didn't want to be left out of this holiday celebration either - so to all his friends he sends you these wishes.

Hugs,
Penny

12th Day

Nothing feels as good as love - does it?

Hello everyone,
Well today is 12th Day, the last day to light the Christmas Tree for this Holiday season. While Christmas was a solemn commemoration of His birth; 12th Night is a celebratory night of Acceptance and Love. The three Kings/Wise Men have made it to Bethlehem and laid their gifts at the feet of the Christ Child. This day, better known as the Epiphany to most of the Christian world - represents the gentiles acceptance of Christ as our King and Saviour; from this day forward, He would no longer belong to just the Jews (Gods Choosen), He was ours, all of ours no matter race, culture or color.
Praise God, From whom all Blessings flow!

Around my house -we would never take down our tree till after 12th Night & Day - with the creche nested under the tree - how could we remove these before the three Kings come. How ever would they find the baby Jesus, if he is packed away out of sight. My parents followed this tradition and I am proud to say I do too. Oh, some of my friends and neighbors think I'm some sort of nut - as they box there decorations up right after Christmas, "But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord", and rejoice in the fact that last night God opened his heart to all us Gentiles and offered us salvation.

So tomorrow we will be busy taking our decorations down, and lovingly packing them away till December rolls around again.

I thought I'd show you a few of the cross stitch pictures I did many moons ago. They are my daily inspirations.

New Years Day may come and go but - Today is the First Day of the rest of your life. Live it well.

Hugs,
Penny
